Noah lost his 2 front teeth!!!!

New things are happening!

So, I haven't blogged in awhile. I have been so busy working two jobs that I just haven't had anytime. I switched jobs from DCSS (Department of Child Support) to EDD (Employment Development Department) about a month and half ago. Then we got notice we had to move out of our house and decided to move back to Galt. We just moved in to out new house in Galt and so far have decided that this was a great decision. We live in a nice house, there are tons of boys that live in the neighborhood and Christian has already made friends. (This makes me very happy). School starts on Monday and christian will be in the 6th grade and Noah will be in Kindergarten.

It makes me laugh to see parents sending their first child to Kindergarten and then there is David and I. We are like "Go go Go, have fun......off you go" No crying or tears by me, now next year when Christian goes to Junior High......that's different!

New Job!!!

So after so many tests and years of trying to get on with the State of California I got a call last Monday that I have been HIRED!!!!! I will be the new Tax Tech with the Department of Child Support Services. Why, you may ask does this sound so familiar? Well because that is where David works. We will be working in different buildings but just down the street from each other. We will get to carpool to work and maybe even have lunch together every now and then.

I am so excited and nervous about working a full time job since it has been about 3 years since I have done that. Although, I am ready to take on the challenge!

Noah will be starting preschool the same day and is soooooo excited. Things will change around the Darchuk house so many stories to follow I'm sure. Wish me good luck!!!!!

David's Birthday

I'm a few days late posting the picture's but we had a few friends over and at David's request he asked for a boobie cake. It turned out great!!!

Dillion Beach...Valentine's Day 2009

David and I spent Valentine's Day with my In-laws at Dillion Beach. I just wanted to share how beautiful the beach was even though it has been storming all weekend. Happy Valentine's day to all!!

A New Chapter......

As you know I have been out of work for sometime now and have been trying to make sense of it all. After weeks of contemplating and thinking and discussing with David I have come to the decision that I am going back to school. I will start in the fall (BTW, the same week Noah starts Kindergarten and Christian 6Th grade). I will go back to get my degree in Marriage and Family Psychology. This is going to be one giant journey that we set upon . I am still looking for work to help with my end around here. So I will be going to school full time, working and taking care of this family (with David's help). I will keep you posted on the obstacles we come across and get over as the happen!

I just wanted to share our weekend out . Here's a couple of pictures of some beautiful cars.

No New Car

As you can tell by the title of the blog there is no new car. After having (and loving) my new car for 7 days the dealership called and said that the bank made a mistake and didn't finance us. Can they do that? Yes they can! We had to take the new car back and they gave us our piece of crap back. So what we did find out is that the bank is putting so many parameters on the loan of a car it is almost impossible for us to meet. That leaves us with one option and that is to fix the 72 VW bug in fabulous running condition and be a one car family for awhile. So I leave the pictures up as a reminder of why I NEED to get a job!!!

New Car

So after going back and forth for weeks deciding if we should buy a car, the car won. The Jeep was a piece of *****!!!! We almost didn't get it started to trade it in at the dealership. I told David I didn't think we could come home without a new car and we didn't!!!! I LOVE this car! Mainly because when I get in I know that it will start!! We all fit and the trunk is good size so now lets pray I get a job to help pay for it!!

My Birthday

Happy Birthday to me, Happy birthday to me!!!! OK enough singing to my self, This year is the big 31. Although not as exciting as birthday's past I enjoyed it with some of my favorite people. I wish many of you could have celebrated with me. I have already enjoyed many phone calls and emails wishing me a Happy Birthday. My day isn't till tomorrow but lucky for me I have been celebrating all week!

David took me to a great restaurant down town and then dancing over at Faces. This is the local gay bar/club. It is the best place to go dancing and have a great time!!!! I love going here! Not to mention that I even got my Baskin Robbins Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream cake that I ask for every year. So even though I am another year older so far my 30's have been the best yet!!!!

A New Year

As most of you know that 2008 was a real drag. First, we lost our house to foreclosure, then I lost my job, then my car needs more work (after so much money put into it I could have taken the kids to Disneyland!!!!). With that being said, I am thankful that we are all healthy and happy and just hope that 2009 is a better year. What better way then to start the year off by celebrating with friends. And of course we had to throw my birthday into the mix because everyone is to broke to really go out and party for my birthday(January 5th). So Welcome 2009!!!!
